Project Wilhemina Ziekenhuis<\/h1><\/div>

Where there\u2019s a will, there\u2019s a way they say. The Rock Foundation can confirm this statement with boldness. Tuesday on the 15th of October 2019, The Rock Foundation managed to donate to a hospital who is specialized in children care called Wilhelmina Kinderziekenhuis, Utrecht. The donation was to the sick children there.<\/p>\n

\u201cDonating to a hospital, in the Netherlands?!\u201d Yes. Even the Netherlands, having the welfare system it has, lacks this form of sympathy towards young patients in hospitals. We\u2019re better off than third world countries, but as soon as you zoom in on the camera, you\u2019ll notice things are never as nice as they seem. The Rock Foundation decided to take a look at the real situations and states of the children in these hospitals. That\u2019s when we noticed that charities like these are needed to make the children feel at home. And yes, also if they\u2019re not at home.<\/p>\n

We had the opportunity to know what kind of sicknesses had located them. Based thereon, we brought them toys and other goodies. We namely sought for the mentally disabled children (between 0 and 18). That was our aim for that project. Mentally disabled children have a limited development on social skills like talking, listening or concentrating. Arriving there, we had the opportunity to explain who we are, what we stand for and why we wanted to do a collaboration. After our aims were made clear we talked a lot about our motives and motivations. In the meantime, we noticed how the place was furnished like the chambers of young, playing children.<\/p>\n

This visit laid its foundation on chronically sick children. A chronic sickness is a sickness that doesn\u2019t go in a matter of time. On the contrary, it usually stays with someone for a big part or the rest of their lives. Why? Because healing is not a medicine. Healing is a person, and a medicine is just a form of the manifestation of healing.<\/p>\n<\/div>
